KITTRELL- James Thomas "Tommy" Newton, Jr., 63, of Rocky Ford Road, died Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Maria Parham Health.Born in Vance County on January 8, 1958, he was the son of the late James Thomas Newton, Sr. and Margie Parham Pendergrass of Kittrell.
Tommy was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.He never met a stranger and could talk to anyone.He loved The Beatles and watching wrestling.
A floating Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at J.M. White Funeral Home.
In addition to his mother, Tommy is survived by his step-father, L. Wayne Pendergrass of Kittrell; his sister, Sandra Newton of Henderson; a niece, Kelli Collins and husband, Ken; and a great niece, Kaelynn Collins.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leggs and Iola Newton and Floyd and Aillene Parham.
