James Earl Williamson

HENDERSON- James Earl Williamson, 87, of Clearview Drive, died Monday, February 26, 2024 at Maria Parham Health. Born August 4, 1936 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Zelma Roberson Williamson and Hill Thomas Williamson. Earl retired from Purolator where he worked as a maintenance mechanic and was most recently employed at Food Lion on Andrews Avenue. He was a member of North Henderson Baptist Church where he formerly served as an usher. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Rev. Eddie Nutt. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens. Earl is survived by his wife, Joan “Jo Ann” Patterson Williamson of the home; his son, Earl Scott Williamson and wife, Katherine Peck Williamson; two grandsons, Matthew Peck Williamson and Jordan Thomas Williamson; two brothers, Henry Thomas Williamson and Donald Williamson, both of Henderson; and a sister, Peggy Forsythe of Clarksville, TN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Switzer and Ola Mae Williamson. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at J.M. White Funeral Home and at other times at the home. Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Switzer, Ray Patterson, Ken Patterson, Chris Uzzman, Brian Green, David Pegram and Dane Williamson.
