MORGANTON-James William "Jim" Young, 53, died unexpectedly on Monday, June 29, 2015.Born in Henderson on April 21, 1962, he was the son of Philip M. Young of Henderson and the late Mary Lou Young.
A memorial service will be held Monday at 2 pm at the First Baptist Church in Henderson by Dr. Ronald S. Cava.
He is survived by his father, Philip M. Young and wife, Sue of Henderson; his son, Alex Young and wife, Ashley, of Mooresville; and his daughter, Mary Beth Young, of Boone.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall at the First Baptist Church in Henderson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hayes School of Music, 813, River Street, Boone, NC 28608.
