WASHINGTON, DC-Jane Clegg Carter, age 92, a resident of Bringtonwood Nursing Home, died Sunday, April 21, 2013.Born on September 16, 1920 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Clement Dean Carter and Mary Clegg Goodrich Carter.She was retired from the United States Government.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Elmwood Cemetery by the Rev. Cathy Hoyle.
She is survived by one brother, Dean Carter of Blacksburg, Virginia; and her nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Mary Arrington Carter Thurston.
The family will receive friends following the service at Elmwood Cemetery.
