KITTRELL-Jane Whetstone Cornish, age 86, a resident of 70 Cornish Lane, died Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at her home.Born on March 22, 1929 in Keysville, VA, she was the daughter of the late Ira Whetstone and Annie Laura Murphy Whetstone, and was the widow of Charles Nickles Cornish, Sr.
Mrs. Cornish was a member of South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church and the Ladies Bible Class.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 2 PM at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Frank Sossamon.
She is survived by three daughters, Barbara W. Anson of Dayton, OH, Audrie L. Wingate of Manassas, VA, and Stephana E. Brown of Henderson; four sons, Charles N. Cornish, Jr. of Kittrell, Dana P. Cornish of Arlington, VA, James R. Cornish of Kittrell, and Jeffrey D. Cornish of Washington, DC; twelve grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church.At other times they will be at her home on Cornish Lane.
