Jane Link Fleming

Jane Link Fleming a resident of Henderson, died on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.Born in Apex on May 3, 1941, she was the daughter of the late John Reinhardt Link and Clarice Elizabeth Pritchard Link, and was the widow of William Lewis Bill Fleming, Jr.She was a retired first grade school teacher and K-2 Reading Coordinator for the Vance County Public School System Central Office, co-founder of Families in School Together, and was formerly a trainer for the National Center for Family Literacy.Mrs. Fleming was a member of First Baptist Church Henderson where she was a member of the choir, and the morning Adult Bell Ringers.She also taught Sunday School in the Young Adult Sunday School Class at First Baptist.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church Henderson by Dr. Ronald S. Cava.
Mrs. Fleming is survived by three daughters, Angel Lynne Fleming and husband Robert Biswas of Miami, FL, Dawn Fleming McDonald and husband Michael of Goldsboro, April Fleming Starling and husband David of New York, NY; five grandchildren, Harper Biswas, Lila Biswas, Will McDonald, Eyler Starling, and Stella Starling; a brother John P. Link and wife Judy of Wake Forest; two nephews, Jeffrey Link and John Link; and a niece, Janette Boyd.
The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall of First Baptist Church.At other times they will be at the home.
Serving as honorary pall bearers will be Harriet Banzet, Beverly Drake, Rosa Fleming, Roxanne Fleming, Anna Hannon, Judy Link, Marietta Noel, and Nettie White.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC27534.
