KITTRELL- Jane Abbott Owen, 91, a resident of Kittrell, died on Friday, March 20, 2020 in a local nursing home.Born in Vance County on March 27, 1928, she was the daughter of the late James Henry Abbott and Ida Kearney Abbott, and was the widow of Forrest Dallis Owen, Sr.She was a member of Plank Chapel United Methodist Church, the Allen Bible Class, WMU, and the Senior Circle.
A private graveside service for the family will be held Tuesday at 2 pm in the Plank Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery by Dr. Carolyn Roy.
She is survived by one daughter, Ann Owen VanZandt and husband, Billy of Kittrell; one son, Forrest Dallis Owen, Jr. and wife, Donna of Charlotte; one brother, James Vernon Abbott and wife, Shirley of Raleigh; three grandchildren, Holly Owen ViLosi,, Kevin Dallis Owen and wife, Misty, and Kristen Owen Compton and husband, William; five great grandchildren, Joseph ViLosi, Dominic ViLosi, Brianna Compton, Mason Compton, and Walker Compton. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Owen.
