HENDERSON – Janet Abbott Davis, 83, of Dorsey Place, died Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at her home. Born October 1, 1941 in Warren County, she was the daughter of the late Mary Edna Ayscue Abbott and Omega Green Abbott. She formerly worked at Pacific Coast Feather Manufacturing Plant. She was a member of Thomas Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church where she served as secretary for many years. She was also a member of South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church. She loved shopping, traveling and eating shrimp almost as much as she loved her grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday August 17, 2025 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of J. M. White Funeral Home by Jesse Weaver. She is survived by two grandchildren, Ryan Williams and Abby Williams; two sisters, Ann A. Weaver (Jesse) of Garner, and Judy A. Perry (Reuben), of Henderson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Clarence Brooks Davis; her daughter, Michelle Leigh Davis Williams; and her brother, Thomas “Tom” Allen Abbott. The family will receive friends Sunday August 17, 2025 at J. M. White Funeral Home prior to the service from 2:00 until 3:00 PM, and will be at her home Tuesday August 12, 2025 and Wednesday August 13, 2025 until 6:00 P.M. Serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Williams, Christian Williams, Kevin Reynolds, Curtis Tippett, Zack Keeton and Ricky Abbott. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Larry Brame and Jimmy Peoples. The family would like to extend a special thank you for the care she received this past year from her “special girls.”
