WAKE FOREST-Janet Gail Pearce, age 77, a resident of Carillon Assisted Living, and a former resident of Henderson, died Thursday, March 16, 2017 at WakeMed Hospital.
Born on March 7, 1940 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Freddie Thomas Pearce and Annie Bell Breedlove Pearce.She was a retired secretary from Polk Correctional Institution and was a member of City Road United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 4 pm at City Road United Methodist Church by the Rev. Edgar Vergara.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
She is survived by one daughter, Pamela Robinson of Oxford and fianc, Glen Allen; two grandchildren, Landon Robinson and Leslie Wilder and husband, Bud; one great grandchild, Buddy Wilder; a sister-in-law, Elsie Pearce of Henderson; a brother-in-law, Herman Crocker of Chesapeake, VA; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Peggy Davis and Elizabeth Crocker; and one brother J. Wayne Pearce.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3 until 4 pm at City Road United Methodist Church.
