Janet Lancaster Stevenson

HENDERSON- Mrs. Janet Lancaster Stevenson, 84, of Dabney Woods Lane, died Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Maria Parham Health. Born in Wayne County on February 12, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Ethel Keen and Willie Keen and was the widow of Sidney Sims Stevenson, Jr. Mrs. Stevenson was a homemaker and member of Clearview Church. A private family graveside funeral service will be held Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Sunset Gardens by Dr. Abidan Shah. She is survived by her daughter, Parka S. Tyler and husband, Paul of Henderson; her grandson, Holden S. Hedgepeth of Wilmington; her sisters, Mary Boyd and husband, Charles of Henderson and Martha Stovall and husband, Bob of Raleigh; and her beloved dog, Coco. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to, Ruin Creek Animal Protection Society, 165 US 158 Bypass, Henderson, NC 27537.
