Janie Ruth Adcock

Janie Ruth Adcock, age 74, a resident of 235 Twelve Oaks Lane, died Tuesday, February 01, 2011, at her home.Born on April 2, 1936 in Granville County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Taylor Adcock and Mattie Mangum Adcock.
She was a member of Freedom Life Church Of God.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Frank Sossamon.Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Berea.
She is survived by one son, Terry Lunsford of Henderson; two daughters, Marilyn Lassiter of Raleigh and Gloria Harris of Henderson; two brothers, Thomas Adcock of Berea and Garland Adcock of Henderson; three sisters, Madeline Bowling of Roxboro, Margaret Oakley of Rougemont, and Catherine Askew of Henderson; four grandchildren, Jennifer Lassiter, Dennis Lassiter, Jr., Christy Lemelin, and Louise Short; and five great grandchildren; and her beloved pet Spike.She was preceded in death by one son, Ronnie Lunsford.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday from 12:30 until 2:00 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.
Serving as pall bearers will be her nephews.
