HENDERSON-Dr. Jason Parham Burgess, PhD, 55, a resident of 330 W. Belle Street, died Sunday, January 14, 2018, at Maria Parham Health.Born on April 19, 1962 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Maynard P. Burgess and Rose Hedgepeth Burgess.Jason received his PhD in Chemistry from North Carolina State University and is a Research Chemist at RTI International.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 11 am in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by Reverend Dr. John Hedgepeth.
He is survived by his wife, Sherri Boone Burgess of the home; two daughters, Emma Burgess and Hannah Burgess of the home; two brothers, Mark Burgess of Rocky Mount and Walter Burgess of Wilmington; and one sister, Natalie B.Graham of Ocean Isle.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will receive friends at the home.
