Oxford- Javier "Freddy" Moreno, 61, of Huntsboro Road, died Sunday, June 20, 2021 at Duke University Medical Center.Born inEl Nacimiento, Mexico on January 20, 1960, he was the son of the late Ramon Moreno and Concepcion Olvera.
He formerly worked at Bandag.
A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Elmwood Cemetery by Rev. Ernie Bowes.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Collier Moreno of the home; a daughter, Catalina Moreno Wood and husband, Kenny of Kittrell; two sons, Javier Moreno, Jr. and wife, Whitley of Berea and Samuel Moreno of the home; three grandchildren, Gabriella Wood, Eli Wood and Mia Moreno; a sister, Estela Moreno of Mexico; and a brother, Salvador Moreno of Mexico.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from noon until 1:30 PM at J.M. White Funeral Home on Thursday and at other times at the home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to J.M. White Funeral Home, 60 Zeb Robinson Road, Henderson, NC 27536, for the Javier Moreno Funeral Fund.
For those that who can’t attend the visitation, Freddy may be viewed on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM at J.M. White Funeral Home.
