Nettie Jean Ellington Ayscue, 86, a resident of Henderson, died Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Duke University Hospital.
Born on October 11, 1934 in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Will Ellington and Pearl Strickland Ellington, and was the widow of Billie T. Ayscue, Sr.Jean was a retired inspector from the former Laurens Glass Company.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 2:00PM at J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Henry Abbott.
She is survived by two daughters, Dale A. Abbott (Bobby) and Gale A. Fleming of Henderson; one son, Billie T. Ayscue, Jr. of Henderson; one sister, Margaret Cash of Henderson; three grandchildren, Priscilla G. Moss, William A. Bowes, Jr., and Robert D. West, Jr.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Carolyn A. West; one son, Stacey Ayscue, and three brothers, Joseph Ellington, Furman Ellington, and Billy Ellington.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:15 PM until 2:00 PM at J. M. White Funeral Home.
