Jean Ranes Johnson

Jean Ranes Johnson, age 63, a resident of 1163 Eaves Road, died Sunday, April 10, 2016, at her home after a brief illness.Born in Vance County on February 12, 1953, she was the daughter of the late James Ranes and Margaret Roberson Ranes.Jean was a Pre-K teacher at Long Mill Elementary School in Youngsville and was a former teacher at Zeb Vance Elementary School in Henderson. She was also a member of the Henderson Moose Lodge.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 6 pm in the Family Life Center at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Frank Sossamon.
She is survived by her husband, Curtis Johnson of the home; three daughters, Melissa Roberson Brame (Patrick) of Kittrell, Dana Roberson Bradsher (Jeff) of Oxford, and Whitney Paige Thomas (Brian) of Henderson; three sons, Ronald Lane Roberson II (Kathryn) of Kittrell, James Stephen Reavis of Cameron, and Jonathan Mitchell Reavis (Tiffany) of Louisburg; one sister, Kathy Ranes Fuller (Wayne) of Louisburg; one brother, James Ray Ranes (Ellen) of Wilson-Mills; and sixteen grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4:30 until 6 pm in the Family Life Center at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church. At other times they will be at the home.
