Jeanette Rudder Stark-Morris

HENDERSON- Jeanette “Net Net” Rudder Stark-Morris, 88 of Dogwood Drive, died Monday, May 13, 2024 at Maria Parham Health. Born January 16, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Anderson Rudder and James Swan Rudder and was the widow of William Luther Stark, Sr. and Carlyle Averrett Morris. Net Net was a devoted wife and loving mother; among her greatest joys were her six grandchildren and great-grandson. Jeanette was active in many areas of the community. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she belonged to the Laffman Sunday School Class. She also enjoyed membership in the “Thursday Morning” bridge club at Henderson Country Club. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church by Dr. Ronald S. Cava and Rev. Robert Beauchamp. A private burial will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Oxford. Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Stark Genshaw and husband, Mark of Collierville, TN; her son, William Luther Stark, Jr. and wife, Sharon of Henderson; six grandchildren, William Luther Stark, III, Anderson Stark Jensen and husband, Michael, Steven Genshaw, Anne Stark Genshaw, Sarah Stark and Chip Stark; a great-grandson, William Jospeh Jensen; her brother, James S. Rudder, Jr. and wife, Tannis of Oxford; her sister, Peggy Rudder Adcock of Oxford; and her caregivers, Gloria Richardson, Alamina Norton and Mary Lisa Hardin. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, James Keith Stark. The family will receive friends following the service on Wednesday in the fellowship hall of First Baptist Church and at other times at the home of her son, 201 Beechwood Trail, Henderson, NC 27536.
