Jeannette Hedgepeth Overby

HENDERSON-Jeannette Hedgepeth Overby, age 71, a resident of 1328 Fuller Street, died Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Maria Parham Health.Born on October 9, 1946 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late William Hedgepeth and Ruby Hayes Hedgepeth, and was the widow of Joseph Donald Overby.
Mrs. Overby was a member of South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 pm by the Rev. Frank Sossamon.Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
She is survived by two sons, Joseph Troy Overby of Henderson and Jason Overby and wife, Marsha of Kittrell; one daughter, Audrey Perry and husband, Eddie of Henderson; three grandchildren, Alex Perry, Amber Perry, and Kaylee Overby; and two sisters, Beatrice Smith and Rachel Pernell and husband, Jack of Henderson.
The family will receive friends Monday night from 6 until 8 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at her home at 1328 Fuller Street.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Steve Pernell, Patrick Smith, David Batten, Marc Ross, Raymond Finch, Jr., J. D. Roberts, and Scott Pernell.
