Jeffrey Lee Jeff Richardson, Sr. age 61, a resident of 1471 Morgan Road, died Wednesday, April 05, 2017, at Duke Medical Center.Born on August 2, 1955 in Vance County, he was the son of Doris Twisdale Richardson of Townsville and the late Boyd Peoples Pete Richardson, Sr.Jeff was a Veteran of the United States Navy, and attended Tabernacle United Methodist Church.When Jeff was a young boy, he was a member of the Boy Scouts Of America Townsville Troop 699 where he received the God and Country Award.
A memorial service will be heldFriday at 2 pm at Tabernacle United Methodist Church by the Rev. David Pate.
In addition to his mother,he is survived by one son, Jeffrey Lee Jeff Richardson, Jr.and wife, Kelly of Green Cove Springs, FL;two brothers, Mark Richardson of Townsville and Pete Richardson, Jr. of Cokesbury; and three grandchildren, McKenna Richardson, Kynnedy Covert, and Preston Richardson.
The family will receive friends on Friday immediately following the service at Tabernacle United Methoist Church.At other times they will be at the home of his mother at 3114 Tungsten Mine Road.
