Jeffery Christopher "J.C" Pruitt

Henderson- Jeffery Christopher “J.C.” Pruitt, 40, of Henderson died Sunday, November 21, 2021. Born in Vance County on July 25, 1981, he was the son of Teresa Darlene Pruitt Best of Roanoke Rapids. J.C. was a special person to everyone who knew him. He would give you the shirt off his back, he was a loving, caring person with the best personality. He loved his family and never met a stranger. His wonderful personality and ability to communicate with all was closely linked to his I.Q. A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 28, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Pastor Earl “Yogi” Campbell. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his fiancé, Amy Donoway of Henderson; four brothers, Brian Best (Melinda) of Roanoke Rapids, Kevin Gilbert (Jackie) of Wilmington, Cole Gilbert of Clayton, and Stephen Best (Lindsey) of Roanoke Rapids; four nieces, Kaydence, Clowley, Brianna and Ambley; a nephew, Braxton; his maternal grandmother, Bertie Travis; two aunts, Joyce Dickerson and Elaine Brame and husband, Larry; and an uncle Hartwell Wayne Pruitt. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffery Christopher Pruitt, II; and his maternal great grandparents, Mildred and Jesse Roberson. The family will receive friends following the service.
