Jena Phipps Miller, age 63, a resident of 75 Sandy Point Drive in Manson, died Friday at her home.Born in Leonardtown, Maryland on September 1, 1947, she was the daughter of Virginia Doyle Phipps of Manson and the late Charles E. Phipps.Mrs. Miller was a retired teachers assistant of special needs children in California.She was also a member of Middleburg Baptist Church, the churchs Sunshine Club Ministry, and was a volunteer at E.O. Young Elementary School as a tutor for reading and math.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday July 19th, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Rev. Eddie Nutt.
She is survived by her husband, Charles T. Miller, of the home; a son, Charles T. Miller, Jr. and wife Wendy of Ceres, California; a daughter, Jamie M. Hildebrand and husband Wil of Modesto, California; a sister, Kathy Solomon and husband Bruce of Manson; and two grandchildren, Carly Hildebrand and Tyler Hildebrand.She was preceded in death by one brother, C.G. Phipps.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday from 12:00 P. M. to 1:00 P.M. at J.M. White Funeral Home. At other times they will receive friends at the home, 75 Sandy Point Drive, Manson or at the home of Kathy and Bruce Solomon, 169 Skippers Landing Road, Manson.
