Jerry Herman Teal

HENDERSON- Jerry Herman Teal, 76, of Waters Edge Road, died Monday, March 11, 2024 at Maria Parham Health. Born September 20, 1947 in Pike County, Alabama, he was the son of the late Myrle Adams Teal and James Herman Teal. Jerry was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was a sewing machine mechanic having worked for several local textile manufacturers including Southern Quilters and Royal Home Fashions. A memorial service with military honors will be held Sunday, March 17, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Christopher Pierce. Jerry is survived by his wife, Bonnie Wells Teal of the home; a daughter, Stacy Teal of Henderson; two sons, Jeremy Teal (Casi-Jo) of New Bern and Glen Teal Roanoke Rapids; eight grandchildren, Jacob Hilliard, Alexis Peoples, Alana Hillard, Abby-Jo Teal, Jeremy Teal, Jr., Sutton Teal, Blake Teal and Hallie Teal; and a great-grandson, Westyn Peoples. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Jason Teal and Daniel Teal. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday beginning at 2:00 P.M. at J.M. White Funeral Home.
