Jimmy Gordon "Jay" Adams, Jr.

HENDERSON- Jimmy Gordon “Jay” Adams, Jr., 54, of S. Stratford Drive, died Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at his home. Born March 17, 1971 in Escambia County, FL, he was the son of the late Aline Thompson Adams and Jimmy Gordon Adams. He formerly worked as an insurance agent at the former Citizens Insurance Agency and was a member of the former City Road United Methodist Church.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Rev. Dan Baer.

He is survived by his wife, Jennie Rivers Adams of the home; his son, Jimmy Gordon “Trey” Adams, III of Henderson; his daughter, Leanne Adams Harris (Logan) of Henderson; his sister, Edie Adams Cantagallo of Lake Worth, FL; his father-in-law, Malvin Rivers of Henderson; his sister-in-law, Tracy Adams of Henderson; an uncle, Raymond Adams of Williamsburg, VA; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Ray “Donnie” Adams and his mother-in-law, Patricia Hanford Rivers.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 20, 2026 from 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. at J.M. White Funeral Home and at the home beginning Friday March 13, 2026.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Kidney Fund at Donate Kidney Fund.
