HENDERSON- Jimmy Carl J.C. Watson, age 74, a former resident of Senior Citizens Nursing Home, died Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham.Born on July 25, 1939 in Bladen Co., he was the son of the late Franklin Watson Sr. and Rena Bass Watson.He was retired from Lamberts Cable Splicing Co. where he was a Telephone Lineman.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 am in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Dwight Jones.Burial will follow at Sunset Gardens.
He is survived by two daughters, Becky W. Earp and husband, Jimmy of Fremont, NC and Susan W. Gill of Henderson; one son, Jeff Watson and wife, Dawn of Henderson; the mother of his children and dear friend, Betty Bailey Watson of Henderson; three sisters, Minnie Floyd and husband, Jim of Benton, AK, Dixie Heffner and husband, Roland of Prattville, AL, and Lou Neal Taylor and husband, Ernie of Elizabethtown, NC; six grandchildren, Joshua Earp, Jason Earp, Ben Earp, Kaitlyn Gill, Payne Watson, and Noah Watson; and one great grandson, Gabe Earp.
The family will receive friends Friday night from 7:00 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of Jeff and Dawn Watson at 991 Hedrick Drive, in the Kerr Lake Country Club community.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Payne Watson, Josh Earp, Michael Cartlidge, Jim Matea, Durwood Daniels, and Ronnie Grissom.Serving as honorary pall bearers will be Jason Earp and Noah Watson.
Arrangements are by J. M. White Funeral Home.
