HENDERSON-Jimmy Hunt, age 57, a resident of 140 Shank Street, died Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at Duke Medical Center.Born on December 16, 1954 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Harold Duke Hunt, Sr. and Shirley Riggan Hunt.Mr. Hunt was retired after 21 years with S. T. Wooten Co.
A memorial service will be held Monday at 2:00 pm in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Tim Short.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Patterson Hunt of the home; one son, Wayne Patterson of Henderson; three daughters, Tammy Hunt and Pamella Lloyd of Henderson and Angel Orgeta of Oxford; three brothers, David Hunt, Robert Hunt, Harold D. Hunt, Jr. of Henderson; one sister, Carolyn Hunt of Henderson; and twelve grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home at 140 Shank Street.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jimmy Hunt Funeral Fund, c/o J. M. White Funeral Home, 60 Zeb Robinson Road, Henderson, N.C. 27536.
