Jo Anna Newton Collins

HAMPTON,VA- Jo Anna Newton, Collins, passed away Friday, July 18, 2025, after a long fight with dementia, cruel disease that robbed us of her spirit. Born June 8, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy Newton and Thomas Newton. To honor her wishes, a graveside service will be held Friday, July 25, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the Union Chapel Church of Kittrell Cemetery. She is survived by a son; two grandsons; and a great granddaughter. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall of Union Chapel Church of Kittrell. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s research.
