Jo Coker Taylor

BOYDTON, VA- Jo Coker Taylor, 81, of Davis Drive, died Thursday, February 09, 2023, at ECU Health North Hospital. Born July 8, 1941 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Joe Coker and Mable Welch Coker. A memorial service will be held at a later date. She is survived by two daughters, Tracey Benson and Dianne Lee, both of Clayton; two sons, Gary Bowen (Laura) of Hendersonville and Jim Bowen (Elaine) of Little River, SC; eleven grandchildren, Ryan Bowen, Joseph Bowen, Michael Bowen, Ellie Bowen, Dylan Bowen, Ashley Bowen, Joshua Bowen, Hudson Benson, Trevor Benson, Austin Lee and Chase Lee; and three great grandchildren, Mason Faulkner, Zoe Bowen and Spencer Bowen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Taylor; three sisters, Jean Allen, Mabel Ayscue and Betsy Eaves; and two brothers, Cecil Coker and Joe Coker.
