Joan Powers Finn

FRANKLINTON- Joan Powers Finn, 76, of Beechwood Road, died Tuesday, May 09, 2023 at her home. Born September 24, 1946 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Virgie Lee West Powers and Edward Thomas Powers and was the widow of Walter Horace Finn. A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, May 12, 2023 at 9:30 A.M. at Sunset Gardens by Pastor Phillip Sharp. Joan is survived by her daughter, Traci F. Ayscue and husband, Gregory of Franklinton; a son, Daniel Finn and wife, Sonya of Raleigh; four grandchildren, Christopher Ayscue, Abbey Finn, Rebecca Ayscue and Jordan Finn; a great grandson, Augustus Ayscue; four sisters, Jewel P. Pearce of Zebulon, Jean P. Phelps (Glenn) of Franklinton, Joyce P. Dupree (Harry) of Louisburg and Nancy P. Webb of Youngsville; and a sister-in-law, Violet Powers. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Gillam “Peter Rabbit” Powers. The family will receive friends following the service at Sunset Gardens on Friday.
