HENDERSON - JoAnn Pearce Dickerson, age 64, a resident of 354 LeMay Lane, died Friday, September 27, 2013 at Maria Parham Hospital.Born March 26, 1949 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Leroy Pearce and Lily Tiny Pilkington Pearce.She was employed as a cashier and clerk at Family Dollar Stores.
A graveside funeral service will be held Monday at 2pm at Sunset Gardens conducted by Rev. Donnie Perkinson.
Mrs. Dickerson is survived by her husband James L. Dickerson of the home; a daughter, Wendy Dickerson Riley and husband Tony of Henderson; two sons, James Eugene Dickerson and wife Donna and Jason Lee Dickerson and wife Charlene all of Henderson; a brother, Alan Young of Brightensea U.K.; a sister, Linda Pearce Leiber of Asheboro, NC; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Pearce Adams.
The family will receive friends at the home of Wendy and Tony Riley, 72 Bryant Abbott Rd. Henderson, NC 27537.Mrs. Dickersons body can be viewed at the funeral home on Saturday from 12 pm till 5 pm and Sunday from 10 am till 5 pm.
