KITTRELL-Joe Weaver, III, 75, a resident of Kittrell, died Monday, May 25, 2020 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.Born in Vance County on May 11, 1945, he was the son of the late Joe Weaver, Jr. and Nellie Roberson Weaver.Joe proudly served in the United States Army during theVietnam War, and was a retired maintenance supervisor with the Vance County School System. He was a member of Plank Chapel United Methodist Church where he was a member of the choir.
Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at Plank Chapel United Methodist Church by the Dr. Carolyn Roy and Rev. Carol Dean.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Brown Weaver of the home; one daughter, Amy Weaver Gupton of Kittrell; two grandchildren, Taylor Gupton Finch (Cameron) and Chase Gupton; two great grandchildren, Carson Finch and Daylon Finch; one brother, Layton Weaver of Henderson; and one sister Shirley W. Boyd of Rocky Mount.
