John Carlton Brown

KITTRELL- John Carlton Brown, 64, of Bobbitt Road, died Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at his home. Born November 26, 1960 in Escambia County, FL, he was the son of Jo Ann Newton Collins of Virginia and Charles Carlton Brown, Jr. of Kittrell. John was a supervisor for Vance Construction Company. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing. John was a member of Plank Chapel United Methodist Church where funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. by Rev. Edgar De Jesus. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Johnathon Davis Brown and fiancée, Renee Jordan of Virginia Beach; and a brother, Tom Brown and wife, Marlene, of Hampton, Virginia. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall of Plank Chapel United Methodist Church and at other times at the home of his father, 3928 Bobbitt Road, Kittrell, NC 27544. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeffery Hunt, Aaron Vadala, and members of the Methodist Men at Plank Chapel United Methodist Church.
