HENDERSON-John Curtis Coghill, Sr., 72, a resident of 804 Arrow Street, died Saturday, August 18, 2018, at Maria Parham Health.Born on August 11, 1946 in Franklin County, he was the son of the late James Macon Coghill and Mary Wilma Smith Coghill. He was employed with Variety Wholesalers.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 pm in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Ernie Bowes and Rev. Eston Bailey.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Hale Coghill of the home; one son, John Curtis Coghill, Jr. of Henderson; four grandchildren, Michael, Alycia, Amber, and Brittney; three great grandchildren, Savannah, Bentley, and Khloie; two sisters, Helen Holmes of Tampa,
Florida and Sue West of Louisburg; and two brothers, J. M. Coghill, Jr. of Greensboro and David Earl Coghill of Louisburg.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday prior to the service from 2 until 3 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Lonnie Hale, K. T. Barker, Bryan Hale, Jackie Ellington, Johnathan Davis, and Steve Hale.
