John Ashley Davis, age 48 a resident of 20 Roberson Hollow Lane, died Tuesday at his home.Born in Vance County on November 23, 1961, he was the son of the late Joseph Arrington Davis, Jr. and Juanita Hughes Davis.He was a member of First United Methodist Church, and manager of Stop and Shop Grocery.
Funeral services will be held on Thursdayat 11:00 A.M. in the J.M. White Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Marshall Neathery.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
He is survived by his wife, Priscilla Roberson Davis of the home; one son, Brandon Ashley Davis of Henderson; one daughter, Jessica Michelle Davis of Henderson; two grandchildren Riley Michelle Glover and Abagail Marie Davis; one brother, Mark Quinton Davis, and one sister, Scarlett Davis West both of Henderson.A brother, Joseph Arrington Davis, III preceded him in death.
The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at J.M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home, 20 Roberson Hollow Lane.
Serving as pall bearers will be Alan Faulkner, Michael West, Todd Clifford, Robert Horton, Matthew Terry and Jason Vaughan.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to The ALS Association, Jim Catfish Hunter Chapter, 120 Penmarc Drive, Suite 101, Raleigh, NC 27603.
