John Benjamin "J.B." Johnson

HENDERSON- John Benjamin “J.B.” Johnson, 91, formerly of Edwards Road, died Friday, April 21, 2023 at a local nursing home. Born August 1, 1931, in Vance County, he was the son of the late Lillie Mae Kittrell Johnson and Charlie William Johnson and was the widower of Cornelia Dement “Nita” Talley Johnson. He retired from Roses where he worked as a bookkeeper. J.B. was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church. He enjoyed traveling and watching big trucks pass by his home. A graveside funeral service will be held Monday at 3:00 P.M. at Sunset Gardens by Rev. Radford Frazier. J.B. is survived by two step-daughters; a step-son; two nephews; two nieces; and a sister-in-law. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. The family would like to extend appreciation to the staff of Senior Citizens Nursing Home for their dedicated care. The family will receive friends following the service on Monday at Sunset Gardens.
