RALEIGH-John Lamb, Jr., 93, a resident of Raleigh, died on Sunday, November 25, 2018, at the North Carolina State Veterans Home in Kinston.Born on April 23, 1925 in Vance County, he was the son of the late John Lamb, Sr. and Kate McGhee Lamb, and was the widower of Helen Carson Lamb.
John was a Veteran of the United States Navy, proudly serving his country during World War II.
Graveside funeral services with Military Honors will be held Friday at 3 pm at Elmwood Cemetery in Henderson.
He is survived by one son, John A. Lamb, Sr. of Dalton, Georgia; two daughters, Vonita L. Boone of Henderson, and Jeanette L. Andrews of Robersonville; ten grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
