HENDERSON-John Lewis "Johnny" Pendergrass, age 56, a resident of 67 Barham Lane, died Sunday, October 23, 2016.Born on March 25, 1960 in Granville County, he was the son of the late Willis Fleming Pendergrass and Katherine Williamson Pendergrass Allen.Johnny was a Veteran of the United States Army and was medically retired from S. T. Wooten Construction Company.
Graveside services with Military Rites will be held Wednesday at 2 pm in the Williamson Family Cemetery by the Rev. Calvin Hedgepeth and the Rev. Calvin Mills.
He is survived by his wife, Ginger Lee Williams Pendergrass of the home; one son, John Lewis Pendergrass, Jr of Henderson; two sisters, Dianne P. Crowder and Wanda P. Gill both of Henderson; three brothers, James F. Pendergrass, Donald W. Pendergrass, and Richard L. Pendergrass all of Henderson; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at his home at 67 Barham Lane and at the home of his sister, Dianne P. Crowder at 240 Flanagan Road.
