Johnny Hartwell Hamm

HENDERSON-Johnny Hartwell Jack Hamm, age 85, a resident of Henderson, died Friday,
December 21, 2012 at the Durham VA Hospital.Born on July 14, 1927 in Vance County, he was the son of the late John Hamm and Elizabeth Ayscue Hamm.Mr. Hamm was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II.He was a member of North Henderson Baptist Church and was a retired self-employed carpenter.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 AM at North Henderson Baptist Church by the Rev. Brent Kasey.Burial will follow in the New Sandy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Wilson Hamm of the home; and one son, J. H. Hamm, Jr. and wife, Kathie W. Hamm of Henderson.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of J. H. and Kathie Hamm at 692 Horseshoe Bend Road, Henderson, NC27537..
Serving as active pall bearers will be Mac Wilson, Barry Horton, Jay Beck, Jr.,Ricky Beck, Lawrence Clark, and Pete Smith.Serving as honorary pall bearers will be all members of the Kerr Lake Fords Car Club.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Henderson Baptist Church, 1211 N. Garnett Street, Henderson, NC27536.
