Joseph Troy Overby

HENDERSON- Joseph Troy Overby, 56, of Thomas Road, died Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Duke Raleigh Hospital. Born June 25, 1969 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Jeanette Hedgepeth Overby and Joseph Donald Overby. Troy was a member of South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church where funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 P.M. by Rev. Mark Richardson and Rev. Will Breedlove. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.

He is survived by his sister, Audrey Overby Perry (Eddie) of Henderson; his brother, Jason Donald Overby (Marsha) of Wilton; two nieces, Amber Dawn Perry and Kaylee Grace Overby and a nephew, William Alex Perry.

Serving as pallbearers will be Patrick Smith, Joshua Pernell, Scott Pernell, David Batten, Raymond Finch and Marc Ross.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. at J.M. White Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Audrey and Eddie Perry, 5076 Thomas Road, Henderson, NC 27537.
