Joseph Bernard Winstead

DURHAM-Joseph Bernard Winstead, 78, a resident of 313 Driver Street, died Tuesday, June 6, 2023. Born on July 4, 1944 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Percy Winstead and Mary Eunice Jackson Winstead. He was a dedicated member of St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church in Durham where a memorial service will be held Friday, June 23, 2023 at 2:00 PM by The Rev. Dr. Lauren Winner. A memorial service will be held in Henderson at a later date. He is survived by one brother, Adrian L. Winstead and wife, Patricia of Henderson; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Winstead and Christine Winstead of Henderson; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Brenda Ray, Emma Lou Woodard, and Ellen Paynter; and two brothers, George Winstead and Lawrence Winstead.
