Josephine Currin

HENDERSON- Josephine Brummitt Currin, 90, a resident of Henderson, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Maria Parham Health.Born in Granville County on May 2, 1928, she was the daughter of the late William Millard Brummitt and Blanche Blackwell Brummitt.
Josephine was retired from Flowers Baking Co.She was a member of West End Baptist Church where she was a former Deacon, Childrens Sunday School Teacher, a member of the Katie Oakley Womens Circle and the Ladies Bible Class Sunday School Class.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM at West End Baptist Church by Rev. Ralph McGowan.Burial will follow in Tabbs Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Rita Currin Wilson (Clyde) of Kittrell; two sons, Michael O. Currin (Ann) of Littleton, and Dave H. Currin (Barbara) of Henderson; six grandchildren, Aaron Wilson (Brooke) Patrick Wilson, Bonnie Stallings (Tyler), Elizabeth Currin, Rebecca Currin, and Jim Phillis (Monica); six great grandchildren, Nathan, Evan, Nora Kate, Blakely Rae, Caitlyn, and Addison; two sisters, Patsy B. Adcock of Oxford and Eugenia B. Johnson of Raleigh.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Harold Osborne Currin; and her brother, Millard Allen Brummitt.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday from 12:30 PM till 2:00 PM at West End Baptist Church. At other times they will be at the home of Clyde and Rita Wilson, 20 N. Chaucer Way, Kittrell, NC 27544.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to West End Baptist Church, 619 Dabney Drive, Henderson, NC27536.
