HENDERSON-Josephine Wilder Rooker, 95, a resident of Senior Citizens Nursing Home, died Saturday, March 14, 2015.Born on January 24, 1920 in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late William Henry Wilder and Onnie Parrish Wilder, and was the widow of George Herbert Rooker.
She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be held Monday at 2 pm in Fairway Cemetery in Warrenton by the Rev. Aubrey Florence.
She is survived by two daughters, Paulette Greenway of Henderson and Dianne Moss of Wilmington; three sisters, Austine Moss of Henderson, Mattie Edwards of Louisburg, and Frances Worman of Hampton, VA; one brother, Frank Wilder of Henderson; seven grandchildren; and eight grandchildren.She was preceded in death by one son, George Herbert Sonny Rooker, Jr.
The family will receive friends following the service and at other times at the home of Paulette and Wallace Greenway at 166 Stewart Farm Road
