Joshua "Josh" Scott Bobbitt

HENDERSON- Joshua Scott “Josh” Bobbitt, 40, of Old Watkins Road died Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Maria Parham Health. Born July 16, 1984 in Vance County, he was the son of Donna Ward Bobbitt and Johnny Sterling Bobbitt, Sr. Josh was a graduate of UNC Pembroke and a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 11:00 AM by Rev. Will Breedlove at Rehoboth United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Ashley B. Ward (Michael) of Henderson; a brother, Johnny S. Bobbitt, Jr. of New Jersey; his paternal grandmother, Betty Grissom Bobbitt of Henderson; a niece, Riley Ward; a nephew, Mason Ward; and his girlfriend, Ashley Emory. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Doris F. Ward and Donald Ward; his paternal grandfather, Thomas Bobbitt; his aunt, Susan Taylor; his uncle, Tommy Bobbitt; and his loyal German Shephard, “Jax.” The family will receive friends at the home of his parents, 2050 Old Watkins Road, Henderson, NC 27537.
