HENDERSON- Joy Renea Hedgepeth, 47, of 40 Toots Way, died Thursday, February 07, 2019 at Maria Parham Health.Born on September 12, 1971 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Franklin Hedgepeth and Princella Stallings Owens of Kittrell.She was a charter member of New Hope Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be held Monday at 7:30 pm at New Hope Baptist Church by Rev. Henry Abbott.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by one daughter, Vanessa Capps of Henderson; two brothers, Leon Hedgepeth and Tim Hedgepeth, both of Henderson; and two grandchildren, Hunter Ray Capps and Kaylee Jade Davis. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her step-father; Daylon Owens.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:30 PM till 7:30 PM at New Hope Baptist Church. At other times, they will be at the home of her mother, 6575 Raleigh Road, Kittrell.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to New Hope Baptist Church, 6868 Raleigh Road, Kittrell, NC 27544.
