Joyce Tower Parrish, 83, a resident of 57 Roberts Avenue, died Friday, April 3, 2020 in a local nursing home. Born on June 15, 1936 in York County, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Albert Warren Tower and Thelma Parsons Tower, and was the widow of William Herbert "W.H."
Parrish, Jr.Joyce was a homemaker and a charter member of New Life Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School Clerk for over 30 years.
Due to coronavirus regulations, we are required to limit attendance at funeral services to immediate family members totaling 50 or less. A private graveside service will be held Monday at 11 AM at Sunset Gardens by the Rev. Joel Beckham.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda P. Faulkner (Noel) of Henderson; two sons, Scott Parrish (Tericia) and Keith Parrish (Joyce) all of Henderson; four grandchildren, Travis Parrish, Joshua Parrish, Carl Parrish, and Hannah Faulkner; and one great granddaughter, Hayley Parrish.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Lucille Harris; and two brothers, Albert Tower and Richard Tower.
For those that feel comfortable visiting, the family will receive friends at the home of Scott and Tericia Parrish at 496 S. Cokesbury Road. For those that wish to view Mrs. Parrish may do so on Sunday between Noon and 5 PM at J. M. White Funeral Home.
