Joyce Pully Stone, age 72, a resident of 144 Garden Walk Drive, died Sunday, May 29, 2011, at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born in Vance County on August 29, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Julian Pulley and Mabel Grissom Pulley.She was a retired secretary for Rose Oil Company, and was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church.Mrs. Stone was also a past member of the Zeb Vance Home Demonstration Club.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am at Union Chapel United Methodist Church by the Rev. Dennis Gossett.
She is survived by one son, Joel Stone of Kittrell; one daughter, Sharon Stone of LaurinburgNC; two grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by three brothers, Roger Pulley, J. C. Pulley, and James Pulley.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Union Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery and at other times at her residence at 144 Garden Walk Drive.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to Union Chapel United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 546, Kittrell, N. C.27544.
