Judith Virginia Hester

HENDERSON-Judith Virginia Hester, age 72, a resident of 120 Parham Street, died peacefully on Friday, June 06, 2014, in a local nursing home.Born in Vance County on May 16, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Furney Green Hester, Jr. and Bessie Harris Hester.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 7, 2014, at 2 pm in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Calvin Dickenson.Burial will follow in the Flat Rock United Methodist Church Cemetery.
She is survived by two brothers, Ralph Thomas Hester and wife, Betty of Henderson and John Allen Hester of Piedmont, SC; her niece, Susan Hester Smith (J.T.) of Charlotte; her nephews, Allen Hester (Elizabeth) of Raleigh, Thomas Hester of Fort Myers, FL, and David Hester of Townsville; her great nephews; and many cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 12:30 until 2 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home at 120 Parham Road.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Thomas Hester, Allen Hester, David Hester, J. T. Smith, Kelly Hester, Daniel Hester,Andrew Hester, Luke Hester, and Walker Smith.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spring Valley United Methodist Church, 955 Spring Valley Road, Henderson, NC27537, or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 914, Henderson, NC27536.
