Born in Vance County on March 24, 1942, she was the daughter of the late George Turner Harris and Arlene Satterwhite Harris.
Mrs. Pendergrass was a member of Island Creek Baptist Church.She enjoying sewing, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:00 pm in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Ricky Easter.Burial will follow in the Island Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Sam Andrew Pendergrass of Henderson; two sons, Ricky Lane Pendergrass and wife, Sandra and Clifton Dean Pendergrass and wife, Mary all of Henderson; two sisters, Marie Adcock and Debbie Milton of Henderson; one brother, Tony Harris of Henderson; four grandchildren, Curtis Pendergrass, Kevin Pendergrass, Krystle Garcia, and Brittany Stancil; and eight great grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, George Harris, Fred Harris, Gene Harris, and Robert Harris; and two sisters, Rose Gail Harris, and Juanita Patton.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Eduardo Garcia, Thomas Stancil, Lawrence Harris, Bobby Newton, Rev. Tim Short, and Joe Pendergrass.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of Ricky and Sandra Pendergrass at 5160 Hwy. 39 N, Henderson, NC27537.
