Julia Shook Neal

Julia "Judy" Shook Neal, 73, a resident of 224 Vaughan Road, died Thursday, August 31, 2017 at her home. Born in Catawba County on July 3, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Mae Herman Shook and Eulan Lester Shook. She was the Manager of Golden Skillet Restaurant for over 20 years.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Pastor Julia Alliger.
Mrs. Neal is survived by two daughters, Sandra Vaughan and Catherine Neal both of Henderson; two sons, Kenneth Mulchi of Henderson and Thomas Neal of Williamsburg, Virginia; one sister, Brenda Rayfield of Myrtle Beach, SC; special friend, Joan Jenkins of Henderson; five grandchildren, Johnnie Berry Jr., Nichole Broskey, D.J. Bolton, Timothy Buchanan, and Joshua Brame; two great grandchildren, Lucas Berry and Jacob Bolton.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Kenneth Shook and one sister, Janice Shook Ramsey.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM until 2:45 PM at J.M. White Funeral Home. At other times the family will receive friends at the home of Sandra and Bud Vaughan, 224 Vaughan Road, Henderson, NC 27537.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Amedisys Hospice, 3320 US 1 Hwy, Franklinton, NC 27525.
