Julia Pauline Tucker Edwards

Julia Pauline Tucker Edwards, age 92, a resident of 105 West Broad Street, died Sunday, June 24, 2012, in a local nursing home.Born in Franklin County on August 15, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Bennett Tucker and Fannie Lassiter Tucker. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 3:00 pm at Elmwood Cemetery by the Rev. Ricky Easter.
She is survived by her brother, Fred Tucker of San Mateo, CA; several nieces and nephews including Martha Ann Abbott and husband Snookum of Middleburg, Jean Burwell of Oxford, and Wanda Donovan of Nashville, NC; and her special caregiver Furbie Evans.She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Henry Edwards; and her siblings, Gertrude Hicks, Charles Allen Tucker, Carlton Tucker and one niece Joyce Boyd.
The family will receive friends at the home of Martha Abbott at 121 West Broad Street in Middleburg.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Victory Baptist Church, 475 J.P. Taylor Road, Henderson, NC 27537.
