June Knott Finch, age 78, a former resident of Coventry House, died Tuesday, November 15, 2016, at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born on March 15, 1938 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Norman Stephen Knott and Pauline Boyd Knott.June was retired from the former Carolina Telephone Company where she worked for 35 years, and was a member of Island Creek Baptist Church.
A graveside memorial service will be held Sunday at 2 pm at Island Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Marshall Neathery.
She is survived by one son, Leonard Wayne Bennett of Chesterfield, Virginia; three grandchildren, Jonathan Wayne Bennett, J. C. Finch, and Tina Marie Ellis; and four great grandchild, Tanner Bennett,Mallory Bennett, Penelope Ellis, and Makala Finch;several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, W. C. Finch; and her brother, Wilson Knott.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Island Creek Baptist Church.
