HENDERSON- June Lawson Harp, 84, a resident of N. Lynnbank Road, peacefully went to her heavenly home, Thursday, November 9, 2023. Born on June 6, 1939 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Hugh H. Lawson and Annie Reid Lawson. Mrs. Harp was a Lab Technician at the former Heinz Pickle Processing Plant, and was a member of Trinity Church of The Living God Pentecostal Holiness Church. June was a loving wife, mama, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her world. June loved her beach trips, where she enjoyed walking the beach and picking up sea shells. She loved to sing and play the piano; and sang with the Trinity Singers of Trinity Church of The Living God, which she loved. A memorial service will be held Tuesday April 2, 2024 at 6:30 PM at Fuller Chapel Christian Church by the Rev. Tammy Asycue . The family will receive friends following the service in the Church Fellowship Hall and request that everyone dress in colorful spring clothes. She is survived by her husband, Alton Henry Harp of the home; one daughter, Tracey H. Garrison (Wesley) of Henderson; two granddaughters, C. J. Oakes (Justin) of Greenville and Jordan Davidson (Seth) of Henderson; two great grandchildren, Nicholas Henry Oakes and Sadie Reid Davidson; one brother, William “Billy” Lawson of Henderson and one sister, Charlotte House of Fayetteville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Kennon Lassiter, Beauena Tucker, Laurice Faucette; and two brothers, Furnie Lawson and Eddie Lawson.
